Iyengar Yoga

Named after BKS Iyengar, the man responsible for this style that incorporates the alignment and holding of asanas. Props such as blocks, straps, and blankets are used to create greater space in the body, to relieve the discomfort the body might feel in posture, or to allowthe student to practice to a deeper level. Iyengar yoga is very therapeutic to body and mind.

We use the following equipment in Health Thru Yoga classes: yoga mat, strap, three (Mexican) yoga blankets, 2 blocks.
