Apprenticeship
The purpose of the Health Thru Yoga Apprenticeship Program is to provide a student (or student teacher) the opportunity to train alongside their mentor/teacher to gain more knowledge and practical training and application in Iyengar (and more) yoga. This should be considered an honor. It is an opportunity to grow in your own personal life and practice, and to understand the anatomy of the body more deeply.
The apprenticeship program is open to anyone who has studied at least 1 class a week for 6 months with Lesli Kotloski; this person(s) does not need to have taken the Teacher Training Course. The apprentice will be expected to train for 6 months- 1 full year under the guidance and direction of Lesli Kotloski, Director of Health Thru Yoga.
- Commit to this position for one year
- Take at least 1 class 1-1/2 hr. class per week (paid by student).
- (When ready) demonstrate, correct alignment, lead breathing/meditation exercises
- Research questions
- Assist with workshop preparation, including office work.
- Assist with class equipment/prop setup and put-away.
- Keep a journal of what is learned in class and outside of class
- Meet regularly with Lesli
