Level Descriptions

Level I: Learn basic asanas and the use of props. Receive one-on-one attention with adjustments to achieve better alignment. Begin to learn Sanskrit names of asanas. "A student is always considered a beginner."

Level II: Must have studied Level I. Students should be able to hold asanas, know the names of asanas and have begun to incorporate yoga into their lives beyond the classroom.

Gentle/hatha yoga: Gentle stretch and flow class. There is some standing and much sitting (chairs available). The workout is less intense and easier, more relaxing with some individualized attention.

Abs/cardio: 30 minutes with music of dance, movement and cardio exercise to increase the heart rate, and 30 minutes of abdominal/back/hip work.

Combo Class: This class is designed to combine elements of abs/core and yoga.

Private Yoga Lessons: are available at your home, our home or Indian Summer. It is highly recommended to have a private lesson to work on your specific issues/areas of the body so that you can take that awareness into the classroom.
