Panchakarma Massage

Panchakarma is a system for cleansing and rejuvenation to remove toxins stored in the skin and cells of the body that aggravate its systems. The purification and rejuvenation process includes oil massage, herbal steam, cleansing diet and lifestyle education.

The oil massage uses warm sesame or coconut oil massaged into specific energy centers of the body and head. This massage softens both superficial and deep tissues, helping to relieve stress and nourish the nervous system. After massage you will be offered a warm washcloth to wipe off any oiled areas of the body. Then you will be given green juice (or warm water with lemon, if you prefer) and optionally, any information you desire about a better style of life for you.

You need to come wearing clothes that are warm and comfortable, with access to neck/shoulders, forearms/hands, knees/feet. The scalp will be included in the massage if you like. You will be asked to smell and choose either the sesame oil or the coconut oil. You may either lie down or sit. The massage is done in quiet, except for background music and an occasional reminder of breathing practice. The session lasts about 1-1/4 hours. The fee is $45.
